Dr. D'Ambrosio Jr. then returned to the greater Boston, Massachusetts area and begin serving the medical and surgical eyecare needs of Boston and Central Massachusetts residents. Dr. D'Ambrosio Jr. has been providing Laser Eye Surgery in Boston with the Excimer Laser for Laser Vision Correction since its approval since 1995 and has been performing LASIK Surgery in Boston since its FDA approval. He has performed more than 7,000 Laser Eye Surgery procedures in Massachusetts at the offices of D'Ambrosio Eye Care.

Dr. Wu received his medical education at the En Shi Medical College and the Tongji Medical University in China followed by Residency training in Internal Medicine at Helene Fuld Medical Center in New Jersey, General Surgery at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York and Ophthalmology at Interfaith Medical Center in New York. In addition he completed a Fellowship in Glaucoma at Indiana University Medical Center.

At D’Ambrosio Eye Care, Dr. Wu cares for patients in need of medical, laser and surgical eye care especially those in need of diagnosis and treatment of Glaucoma. As a Boston Glaucoma specialist Dr. Wu has expertise and experience in all types of laser treatments for Glaucoma and Glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Michael S. Cooper, O.D. is a Boston Optometrist currently working in the Lancaster office of D’Ambrosio Eye Care, Inc.  Dr. Cooper’s clinical management responsibilities includes treating patients with diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, cataracts, and strabismus in addition to routine eye examinations.  He is especially interested in dry eyes and the co-management of glaucoma.

Dr. Cooper received an undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  While studying at Michigan, Dr. Cooper was involved with several geriatric research projects including Age-Related Macular Degeneration and the social impact of disease and aging.  He later co-founded the Society of Biology and became instrumental in shaping one of the first generation electronic computer records programs for Ophthalmology.

After his college education, he went on to pursue the Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry.  Dr. Cooper shifted his attention to pediatrics in an effort to study sports-related eye injuries in children and early adolescence.  Subsequently, the Performance Vision Club was founded to address these concerns along with the overall visual experience associated with sports.  Dr. Cooper graduated in June 2006.

Dr. Cooper in his spare time enjoys playing soccer, mountain biking, and reading Greek and Roman classical works.

Dr. Richard C. Erickson earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1970.  He was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1975.  Dr. Erickson was associated with private practices in Quincy, Massachusetts and Milford, Massachusetts before joining D’Ambrosio Eye Care in 1990.

His professional affiliations include memberships in the American Optometric Association and the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists.

In 2002, the then Acting Governor, Jane Swift, appointed Dr. Erickson to the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Optometry for Health Care Professionals.  He presently continues to serve on this board as a committee member overseeing recertification and licensing.  In addition, Dr. Erickson was selected to be senior clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry in 2004. He continues to serve on the N. B. E. O.

Dr. Erickson has 31 years of Optometric/Contact Lens experience, specializing in the hard to fit and bifocal lens patient, pre-op and post-op Lasik patients.  Along with his interest in refractive surgery, Dr. Erickson has been involved in studies concerning the treatment of dry eye, glaucoma medications and monitoring new surgical technologies.

Dr. Michael Fu is a Boston Optometrist who joined D’Ambrosio Eye Care in 1998.  He received his undergraduate education and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  His ocular disease training was done at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami.  Dr. Fu has worked at several refractive surgery centers across the country and was the former Clinical Director of Refractive Surgery at D’Ambrosio Eye Care. Currently, he is the Optometric Manager at D’Ambrosio Eye Care and works closely with all of the doctors to maintain the highest quality of eye care possible.  Voted as one of the top optometrists in America, he enjoys all aspects of primary eye care including contact lenses, glaucoma co-management, and pediatrics.  He is a consultant to an eye care web site and is board certified in the use of therapeutic agents.  He is also a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Thuy Q. Le is a Boston Optometrist who  has been practicing Optometry at D’Ambrosio Eye Care for several years. She currently works at the Gardner office. Dr. Le immigrated to the United States from Vietnam 20 years ago. She received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. After graduation, she stayed in the area and worked as a research assistant in a microbiology lab at the Roger Williams Hospital. She helped develop an intracellular model to study the efficacy of new antibiotics. She later received her Doctor of Optometry degree with Honors from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. At D’Ambrosio Eye Care, she provides comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings with rigid gas permeable and soft disposable contact lenses. She diagnoses and co-manages various ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She also developed particular expertise in treating various red eye and dry eye conditions. Dr. Le is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. John Marabello is a Staff Optometrist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care focusing on primary care and contact lens services. He is a lifelong resident of Central Massachusetts and has been providing eye care to the community for over twenty years.

Dr. Marabello received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Norwich University in Vermont. He subsequently became a licensed optician after completing two years of study at the Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. He received his Doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston where he graduated with honors.

In his spare time, Dr. Marabello is an avid runner. Additionally, he enjoys golf and gardening.

Derrick Chung, O.D.

Dr. Chung is a native of Boston’s north shore area and a staff optometrist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care's Lancaster office. Dr. Chung attended St. John’s Preparatory school in Danvers and moved on to Brandeis University in Waltham where he earned dual Bachelors of Science degrees in Biology and Computer Science. From there, Dr. Chung went on to the New England College of Optometry in Boston where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. For two years, Dr. Chung was affiliated with Tufts Medical Center and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, managing research of Aged Related Macular Degeneration among twins. At D’Ambrosio Eye Care, Dr. Chung cares for those considering and undergoing PRK, LASIK, lens replacement surgeries as well as diagnosing and evaluating patients of all ages. Dr. Chung is also an active member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Kristin Stanley is a Boston Optometrist and currently practices at the D’Ambrosio Eye Care Lancaster office. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Syracuse University in 2003. While in Syracuse, Dr. Stanley was recognized as a member of Phi Sigma, the national Biology Honor Society and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS).  Following her undergraduate education, she relocated from her native State of New York to Boston, Massachusetts to attend the New England College of Optometry, where she was awarded her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2007. Dr. Stanley completed her residency training in Ocular Disease and Primary Care Optometry through the Boston VA Medical Center in 2008. In addition, Dr. Stanley provided primary eye care and contact lens examinations for patients of all ages at a local private practice.

 In addition to her education, Dr. Stanley helped organize the Lions Club affiliation within the New England College of Optometry to provide eye care screenings to various patient populations in the Boston area. Her professional affiliations include memberships in the American Optometric Association, the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists, and the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.

Thuyanh Dang Le, O.D.

Dr. Thuyanh Le is a Boston optometrist who joined D'Ambrosio Eye Care in 2009. She provides general eye care with a strong clinical interest in ocular diseases and refractive surgery. Dr. Thuyanh Le received her undergraduate education at Brown University. After graduating college, she worked as a research assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in an infectious diseases laboratory. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree at New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts and completed her residency training in primary eye care and ocular disease at the Boston Veterans Administration Healthcare System based in Brockton, Massachusetts. She is an active member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists, the American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry. 

Helen Nguyen, O.D.

Dr. Nguyen is a Boston Optometrist who has resided in Massachusetts since arriving in the United States in 1990. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University, she attended the New England College of Optometry where she received her degree as a Doctor of Optometry. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the State University of New York College of Optometry. As a residency trained Pediatric Optometrist, Dr. Nguyen has provided care to children with complex conditions from congenital cataracts to strabismus and amblyopia. She has also worked with premature infants, children with low vision and children with special needs. Her training includes recognition and treatment of binocular vision, focusing and tracking problems that can cause fatigue, headaches and reading difficulties, which may lead to poor performance in school. Vision is a learned process and many children need to learn to see then see to learn.
