Francis A. D'Ambrosio, Jr., M.D.

Francis A. D'Ambrosio Jr., M.D. is a Boston Ophthalmologist and is the Founder of D'Ambrosio Eye Care with offices located in Acton, Gardner & Lancaster Massachusetts. He provides all types of Eye Surgery including Cataract Surgery and Laser Eye Surgery in Massachusetts such as LASIK. Dr. D'Ambrosio Jr. received his undergraduate education at Boston College and his Medical Degree at the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at SUNY-Buffalo. Dr. D'Ambrosio Jr. then returned to the greater Boston, Massachusetts area and begin serving the medical and surgical eyecare needs of Boston and Central Massachusetts residents. Dr. D'Ambrosio Jr. has been providing medical eye care and eye surgery in the Greater Boston and Central Massachusetts area for over 20 years. Dr. D'Ambrosio Jr. has been providing Laser Eye Surgery in Boston with the Excimer Laser for Laser Vision Correction since its approval since 1995 and has been performing LASIK Surgery in Boston since its FDA approval. He has performed more than 7,000 Laser Eye Surgery procedures in Massachusetts at the offices of D'Ambrosio Eye Care.

In addition to being an experienced LASIK Surgeon, Dr. D'Ambrosio Jr. is also a well known Cataract and Lens Implant (IOL) Surgeon. Oren L. Weisberg, M.D.

Oren L. Weisberg, M.D. is a Boston Ophthalmologist who specializes in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus in Boston. Dr. Weisberg attended the University of Pennsylvania where he concurrently received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. He received his Medical Degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and performed his internship in General Medicine at Greenwich Hospital. Dr. Weisberg completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In addition he completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the Indiana University Medical Center.

Dr. Weisberg and his specially trained technicians see children of all ages.  He specializes in all types of eye conditions and eye diseases in children.  He also treats both pediatric and adult strabismus (eye turns or crossed eyes) and lazy eyes.

He sees patients at the Lancaster and Acton offices.  The Lancaster office has specialized lanes (rooms) created for children.  He is on staff at Leominster and Emerson Hospitals and has courtesy privileges at Boston Children’s Medical Center.

Bin (Benjamin) Wu, M.D.

Bin (Benjamin) Wu, M.D. is an Ophthalmologist and Glaucoma Specialist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care where he serves patients from greater Boston Massachusetts. Dr. Wu received his medical education at the En Shi Medical College and the Tongji Medical University in China followed by Residency training in Internal Medicine at Helene Fuld Medical Center in New Jersey, General Surgery at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York and Ophthalmology at Interfaith Medical Center in New York. In addition he completed a Fellowship in Glaucoma at Indiana University Medical Center.

At D’Ambrosio Eye Care, Dr. Wu cares for patients in need of medical, laser and surgical eye care especially those in need of diagnosis and treatment of Glaucoma. As a Boston Glaucoma specialist Dr. Wu has expertise and experience in all types of laser treatments for Glaucoma and Glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Wu is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).

Sahana Vyas, M.D.

Sahana Vyas, M.D. is a Boston Ophthalmologist specializing in Diseases & Surgery of the Vitreous and Retina.

Dr. Vyas attended Harvard University, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a concentration in Romance Languages & Literature. She received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from Saba University School of Medicine. She did her internship training in General Surgery at Brown University-Rhode Island Hospital.  Subsequently, she was a resident in Ophthalmology at the University of Louisville – Kentucky Lions Eye Center, where she was also the Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. Dr. Vyas finished her fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at the University of Virginia.

JoAnn Cong Yin Chang, M.D.

JoAnn Cong Yin Chang, M.D. is a Cornea Specialist, Cataract and Refractive Surgeon at D'Ambrosio Eye Care with offices in Lancaster, Acton and Gardner. Dr. Chang earned her Medical Degree at The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, followed by an Internship in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She then completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at The University of Chicago Hospitals, Department of Ophthalmology and was chosen to attend a Fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the John Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah. At the John Moran Eye Center she obtained specialized training and experience in all types of Laser Vision Correction for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism such as LASIK. In addition Dr. Chang is a Corneal Specialist with expertise in the diagnosis & treatment of corneal disease, cornea trauma and surgical complications including the Corneal Transplantation techniques of Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK), Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty (DALK), Decemet's Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSAEK) and Decemet's Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK). In addition, Dr. Chang provides Cataract Surgery and Intraocular Lens Implantation (IOL) with advanced technology lens implants for the correction of astigmatism and near vision after Cataract Surgery.

Dr. Chang has been active in teaching other eye surgeons techniques and methods of advanced cornea and refractive eye care through her leadership at the John Moran Eye Center by many presentations and lectures at the Refractive Round Table and Cornea Journal Club where she shared her expertise in managing LASIK problems and complications as well as diagnosing and treating Cornea disease.

Dr. Chang is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the recipient of the Harvey Klein Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology Resident Education, a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society and has received First Honors from the American Society of Clinical Pathology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Vision Research in Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Richard C. Erickson, O.D.

Dr. Richard C. Erickson earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1970.  He was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1975.  Dr. Erickson was associated with private practices in Quincy, Massachusetts and Milford, Massachusetts before joining D’Ambrosio Eye Care in 1990.

His professional affiliations include memberships in the American Optometric Association and the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists.

In 2002, the then Acting Governor, Jane Swift, appointed Dr. Erickson to the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Optometry for Health Care Professionals.  He presently continues to serve on this board as a committee member overseeing recertification and licensing.  In addition, Dr. Erickson was selected to be senior clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry in 2004. He continues to serve on the N. B. E. O.

Dr. Erickson has 31 years of Optometric/Contact Lens experience, specializing in the hard to fit and bifocal lens patient, pre-op and post-op Lasik patients.  Along with his interest in refractive surgery, Dr. Erickson has been involved in studies concerning the treatment of dry eye, glaucoma medications and monitoring new surgical technologies.

Michael M. Fu, O.D.

Dr. Michael Fu is a Boston Optometrist who joined D’Ambrosio Eye Care in 1998.  He received his undergraduate education and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  His ocular disease training was done at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami.  Dr. Fu has worked at several refractive surgery centers across the country and was the former Clinical Director of Refractive Surgery at D’Ambrosio Eye Care. Currently, he is the Optometric Manager at D’Ambrosio Eye Care and works closely with all of the doctors to maintain the highest quality of eye care possible.  Voted as one of the top optometrists in America, he enjoys all aspects of primary eye care including contact lenses, glaucoma co-management, and pediatrics.  He is a consultant to an eye care web site and is board certified in the use of therapeutic agents.  He is also a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. 

Thuy Q. Le, O.D.

Dr. Thuy Q. Le is a Boston Optometrist who  has been practicing Optometry at D’Ambrosio Eye Care for several years. She currently works at the Gardner office. Dr. Le immigrated to the United States from Vietnam 20 years ago. She received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. After graduation, she stayed in the area and worked as a research assistant in a microbiology lab at the Roger Williams Hospital. She helped develop an intracellular model to study the efficacy of new antibiotics. She later received her Doctor of Optometry degree with Honors from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. At D’Ambrosio Eye Care, she provides comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings with rigid gas permeable and soft disposable contact lenses. She diagnoses and co-manages various ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. She also developed particular expertise in treating various red eye and dry eye conditions. Dr. Le is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and the American Optometric Association. 

John Marabello, O.D.

Dr. John Marabello is a Staff Optometrist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care focusing on primary care and contact lens services. He is a lifelong resident of Central Massachusetts and has been providing eye care to the community for over twenty years.

Dr. Marabello received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Norwich University in Vermont. He subsequently became a licensed optician after completing two years of study at the Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. He received his Doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston where he graduated with honors.

In his spare time, Dr. Marabello is an avid runner. Additionally, he enjoys golf and gardening.

Derrick Chung, O.D.

Dr. Chung is a native of Boston’s north shore area and a staff optometrist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care's Lancaster office. Dr. Chung attended St. John’s Preparatory school in Danvers and moved on to Brandeis University in Waltham where he earned dual Bachelors of Science degrees in Biology and Computer Science. From there, Dr. Chung went on to the New England College of Optometry in Boston where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. For two years, Dr. Chung was affiliated with Tufts Medical Center and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, managing research of Aged Related Macular Degeneration among twins. At D’Ambrosio Eye Care, Dr. Chung cares for those considering and undergoing PRK, LASIK, lens replacement surgeries as well as diagnosing and evaluating patients of all ages. Dr. Chung is also an active member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and the American Optometric Association.

Kristin Stanley, O.D.

Dr. Kristin Stanley is a Boston Optometrist and currently practices at the D’Ambrosio Eye Care Lancaster office. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Syracuse University in 2003. While in Syracuse, Dr. Stanley was recognized as a member of Phi Sigma, the national Biology Honor Society and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS).  Following her undergraduate education, she relocated from her native State of New York to Boston, Massachusetts to attend the New England College of Optometry, where she was awarded her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2007. Dr. Stanley completed her residency training in Ocular Disease and Primary Care Optometry through the Boston VA Medical Center in 2008. In addition, Dr. Stanley provided primary eye care and contact lens examinations for patients of all ages at a local private practice.

Milly Mui, O.D.

Dr. Milly Mui is a staff Optometrist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at New York University followed by additional coursework in health sciences at the City University of New York-Queens College. Following her undergraduate education, she relocated from her native State of New York to Boston, Massachusetts to attend the New England College of Optometry, where she was awarded her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009.

As part of her training and clinical education, Dr. Mui has served patients through rotations as an Optometrist at the Veterans Health Administration at Hudson Valley, the Veterans Administration Boston Healthcare System, the Perkins School for the Blind and the Children’s Floating Hospital at Tuft’s Medical Center where she provided the full range of routine and specialized eye care services for Veterans, children and the Boston community.

Dr. Mui sees patients for general eye examinations, contact lens examinations and fittings and eye health and vision examinations.

Farah Lakhani, O.D.

Dr. Farah Lakhani is a staff Optometrist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Following her undergraduate education she attended the New England College of Optometry, where she was awarded her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2010.

As part of her training and clinical education, Dr. Lakhani has served patients through rotations as an Optometrist at the Codman Square Health Center in Boston, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center-White River Junction and the Vision Institute of Canada where she provided the full range of routine and specialized eye care services. Dr.Lakhari is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and the American Optometric Association.

Meritza Rondon Kluge, O.D.

Dr. Kluge is a staff Optometrist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology at the University of Central Florida. Following her undergraduate education she attended the New England College of Optometry, where she was awarded her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009.

As part of her training and clinical education, Dr. Kluge has served patients through rotations as an Optometrist at the Dimock Community Health Center, the Providence VA Medical Center and the Dorchester House Community Health Center where she provided the full range of routine and specialized eye care services. Dr. Kluge is a member of the Golden key International Honor Society, the AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Public Health Association, Eye Health Section.
