Francis A. D’Ambrosio, Jr., M.D. is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at D’Ambrosio Eye Care. Dr. D’Ambrosio, Jr. is the Founder and Medical Director of D’Ambrosio Eye Care. He received his undergraduate education at Boston College and his Medical Degree at the Tufts University School of Medicine in Massachusetts followed by a Residency in Ophthalmology at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Medicine in Buffalo. Dr. D’Ambrosio, Jr. then returned to the greater Boston, Massachusetts area and began serving the medical and surgical eyecare needs of greater Boston, central and western Massachusetts residents. Dr. D’Ambrosio, Jr. is also an experienced innovator in the area of cataract surgery and lens implants where is recognized for bringing laser cataract surgery to central and western Massachusetts residents. In addition he is a recognized leader in advances in lens implants by providing vision correction using near vision presbyopia correcting multifocal lens implants as well as lens implants to correct astigmatism after cataract surgery.

Dr. D’Ambrosio, Jr. is recognized throughout the United States and internationally for his commitment to teaching eye surgeons about innovations in cataract surgery, lens implants and eye surgery procedures. He has been an invited lecturer on cataracts, cataract surgery and lens implants in Colombia, India, Italy and Spain as well as at professional meetings throughout the United States. Dr. D’Ambrosio, Jr. has been providing medical eye care and eye surgery in the central and western Massachusetts area for over 30 years. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS) as well as numerous local and state professional and community organizations.
